Microgaming has stopped the RAF or refer a friend rakeback promotions for all gamblers.

This may or may not have to do with the recent US law.  Here is the email we received.  This is coming from Battlefield poker.

Hello George Washington,

We regretfully wish to advise you of a change which will be occurring to your Poker Account shortly. Currently you are a part of our "Refer-a-friend" promotion (known as RAF) whereby you are able to refer players and earn a percentage of their rake as a bonus for yourself. Due to changes in the rules of operation which the Microgaming Poker Network has advised us of, we will be disabling this promotion from use.

Please be aware however that all amounts of unclaimed rakeback will be recorded and paid to your account within 24 hours of this change occurring. Also, you will be inserted onto a new promotion, which is a simplified version of Rakeback (almost identical, but you can not refer friends or receive a percentage of rake as was the case in the RAF system) and that the rakeback percentage which you are currently on in the RAF system will be transferred over to the new rakeback promotion.

You will not be able to claim rakeback for a period of up to 36 hours (most likely a lot sooner), but any rake accumulated during this time will contribute towards your rakeback when the new promotion is enabled.

This change will commence in the next 24 hours.
