ICallSoWhat breaks $2M Cash Table mark at Full TiltThe year is just about four months old and millions have already been made playing high stakes cash games at Full Tilt Poker.
The leader of the pack, who plays under the name of “ICallSoWhat”, is the only player to break the $2 million mark so far. He almost always plays high stakes Pot Limit Omaha. As on last count he had made $2.41 million from 505 sessions and 53,034 hands. That gives “ICallSoWhat” almost $5,000 per session or almost $50 per hand. And he averages four sessions a day at least.
Full Tilt Poker has five other millionaire online poker pro players . They are Tom “durrrr” Dwan with $1.88 million, Hac “trex313” Dang with $1.68 million, Phil “OMGClayAiken” Galfond with $1.41 million, “CHUFTY” with $1.20 million and Markus Golser with $1.02 million. And there are a couple of players on the verge of becoming millionaires.
But where there are big winners there are bound to be big losers. Gus Hansen tops the list with a loss of a whopping $1.20 million in Pot Limit Omaha. Hence Pot Limit Omaha seems to be heading the list of the most popular poker variants, at least at Fulltilt Poker. “Bleachbum” and “Ziigmund” are not far behind Hansen with losses of $1.1 million since the beginning of this year. Though “noataima” has not yet notched up a loss of $1 million he must be one of the most popular personalities at the high stake poker tables. Since January 2007 “noataima” has dropped $7.1 million. The enormity of the figure can be seen when one checks out that his nearest competitor during this period had a loss of around $2 million. The tracking system at Full Tilt Poker has recorded that “noataima” has played 68,198 hands and has therefore loses over a hundred dollars for each hand he plays. No wonder he is very popular.
“ICallSoWhat” hails from the Netherlands and he is making the Dutch poker fraternity proud. It is not often they see one of their compatriots making waves in the poker world. It is not that “ICallSoWhat” has not had a bad day in this dream run. In March while playing $50/$100 Pot-Limit Omaha he lost over $43,000 in less than 1000 hands. Afyer all you cannot win all the time.
Full Tilt Poker has become a haven for high stake poker players. It was a late entrant in the online poker industry starting as late as July 2004. But it was sponsored by the biggest names in the poker industry such as Phil Ivey, Howard Lederer and Phil Gordon. Also it marketed itself aggressively and as a result has peak traffic of 60,000 tournament and 10,000 cash game players. The games at Full Tilt Poker are tight even at low stakes and players have to be good in order to make money. With success stories of the likes of “ICashSoWhat” the traffic is only going to increase. |
