Mac Backgammon
Backgammon is an emerging market and there are a couple rooms that are Mac compatible. Mac Backgammon sites are few and far between but they are out there. In our search we located 2 Backgammon rooms that used Java and one place that offers a download client.
GammonEmpire and Play65
According to various backgammon sites GammonEmpire and Play65.com are the biggest rooms for Mac Backgammon players. Actually they supposedly have the largest network of players with about 700,000 total. They both belong to the LogicEmpire Network so you will notice the same qualities in both rooms. Both offer a download client and a Java client. Java must be used on a Mac if you want to play there.
Gamesgrid for Mac
GamesGrid is the other place that has Backgammon for Macs. GamesGrid can be downloaded on Macintosh OS X 10.2.8 or later. They do not use Java but are a pay for play site. Their membership is $79.95 if you want the full membership benefits. Personally I’d rather play on the LogicEmpire sites listed above because the software is a little better but some still prefer Gamesgrid.
