The new Intel Macs are expected to be able to run Wine with the new systems

Rumor has it that Wine has been run on the new Intel Mac according to the X86 Project team.  For those that run Linux this is a common process.  Running Wine on Macs has been long awaited.

Wine allows Mac or non Windows users to perform Windows programs natively.  Linux users use this to play Windows based poker programs.  Wine still has its faults but it is a start for Mac users wanting to run Windows.

The dual boot process for Macs is still underway as the contest continues.  The prize pool for the first hacker to perform this dual boot on a Mac has reached over $10,000 and it is growing exponentially.  With this kind of prize pool it is expected that the real hackers will come out of their shell at a shot at the big money.  Dual booting a Mac just might be closer than people think.
