| More Users Converting to Macs This upcoming Holiday season is expected to grab the attention of many potential new Mac users says MacRumors. According to the stats, 4.4% of the market share of computer users were Mac lovers. That was last quarters’ stats.
You would think that after a couple of really solid years for Apple that the numbers would have increased enormously but according to the statistics they are still below the 5% number. They are not standing still but are estimated at about 4.8%.
Apple expects these numbers to increase during the holiday season. They believe their new product line and laptops will draw a wider base during the Holidays.
The switch to Intel has caused quite a stir over the past few months and ChangeWave Research says this is many reasons why non-Mac users might make the switch.
A survey was done by ChangeWave research. Over 3000 people were surveyed and of those people, 37% said they were more likely to switch to a Mac because of the Intel chips.
Laptops continue to be the hot ticket items for Apple while desktop Macs are not doing so hot. The desktop sales have decreased in volume sold.
