After about 3 months of slacking on my part I finally got a biography up for Sbrugby. This kid (25) plays mostly at Full Tilt. It's a pretty good story of a college player that built a million dollar bank roll fairly quickly.

He's not very well known, his face and name at least "Brian Townsend" because he plays almost strictly online. He's not one for the smokey casinos and I don't blame him.

He did get some air time on "High Stakes Poker" when the producer got him on.  That's a pretty neat accomplishment for a no-name pro to get called up and asked to play in it.  I say no-name but pretty much every railbird out there recognizes the screen name Sbrugby and not Brian Townsend Poker Pro.  

He battles it out against Durrrr and Phil Ivey a lot mostly at the heads up tables.  I haven't seen him around much lately but I've also been on a semi-vacation.  He's a pretty consistent poster at twoplustwo.com with about 2000 posts so if you ever want to listen in on his conversations about his play his screen name over there is aba20.

Brian even did a "How it Started-Brag" thread but our Sbrugby bio sums up mostly what he said and also some more tid bits we got from research.  You've got to admire any player than can go from nothing to over a million in a little over a year.  It takes balls, mad skills and a bit of luck always helps.

He is not yet highlighted in red as a "Pro" at Full Tilt poker so he's sometimes hard to find.  He likes to play against the online poker pros and the real high stakes tables but sometimes you can catch him at lower limits donking off the fish for some easy cash.

The biggest hand I've seen records of him winning was against David Benyamine.  Needless to say Brian won a little less than a half million on that hand.
