Ex-US Paradise Poker players are now getting transfered from Paradise Poker to Sportsbook.com.

Players in the United States who used to enjoy games at Paradise Poker woke up to a confusing email this morning (see below).  The email basically said they could log into Sportsbook.com with their old Paradise Poker account username/password and begin placing bets.

So what does this mean?  Is Paradise Poker essentially accepting US players again?  The answer is no.  The only thing that happened was they transfered your account history and player information over to Sportsbook.com which will not be on the same poker platform as Paradise Poker.

In the email there was also a paragraph regarding the poker room.  It just so happens that Sportsbook.com will be heading for a poker software change.  While Sportsbook says they are doing so to make the software "new and improved" we all know their real motive....switching to a network that allows US players.

Sportsbook.com used to be connected to Paradise Poker in that they were owned by Sportingbet Plc.  Last month Sportingbet Plc sold Sportsbook.com.

If rumors are true Sportsbook.com will join the new poker network which has yet to be named to the public.  Many skins from the Ongame Network have been seeking this new network for US player capabilites.
