Online Poker Bad Beat Jackpots

Adding jackpots to bad beats is relatively new for online poker sites.  The first site to really have bad beats was Absolutepoker.  There were obviously followers but it still hasn’t caught on at every site.  Below is a list of online poker sites with bad beat jackpots.  At this time I recommend Aced for the bad beat due to lower requirements and a much higher jackpot, despite less going to the bad beat winner.

Poker Site Requirements for Jackpot

We mentioned the basics of each site above but there are more stringent requirements when a jackpot is hit.  Each site is different so I will go into detail what each site requires, other than what was mentioned above.

Ultimatebet (Cereus network)

  • You must be sitting at a table named “Jackpot” to be eligble
  • 50% of the jackpot goes to the player with the bad beat
  • 25% will go to the original winner
  • 25% rolls over for the next bad beat (too high)
  • 10% goes to the house
  • Each other player gets $1,000
  • All money left goes to players sitting at other tables whom are playing same stake level and are on a bad beat jackpot table.

* Other sites on the Cereus network where you can play and be eligble for the same bad beat jackpot include Absolutepoker.

Aced.com (Merge network)

  • Only tables labeled as “Jackpot” hands are eligble
  • If you beat quads with quads you must have a pair in the hole
  • 35% goes to the loser of the hand (bad beat victim)
  • 17.5% goes to the winner of the hand
  • 17.5% to other players in the hand (your table only)
  • 20% goes toward next bad beat jackpot (too high)
  • 10% goes to the poker site (also retarded)

* Other sites on the Merge Network where this jackpot is available is Carbonpoker.

Partypoker (Partygaming)

  • Only “Jackpot” tables will be paid
  • Both hole cards must be used
  • 35% goes to bad beat victim
  • 17.5% goes to the winner of the hand
  • 17.5% is split between the rest of the players at the table
  • 20% goes towards the next jackpot (stupid)
  • 10% goes to the house

* Other sites on Partygaming where this bad beat jackpot can be hit is Empirepoker.

Things to Remember

While jackpots may seem like a great thing, there is always a catch 22.  You are going to be paying higher rake at these tables, which pays for the bad beat jackpot.  Rake is a killer when it comes to taking money from the table and out of the pots you win.

Playing low stakes in hopes to win a bad beat jackpot is not always the best idea.  Because you are usually paying a minimum amount of rake per hand, if the stakes are low you’ll be paying a lot out in rake.  Either way Bad Bad Jackpots are fun to play, and it’s more like hitting the lottery.  Most serious players won’t play them, it’s more for the casual gambler looking to get rich fastAlso we have live feeds over at badbeatjackpot.com where you can check daily to see what site has the biggest jackpot at that time.
