Harrah’s has released the official 2006 WSOP Circuit schedule with a twist.
Update – On January 9th Harrah’s issued the official 2007 WSOP Schedule. We have the list and links to Harrah’s official page.
After the main event of the World Series of Poker the Circuit Events commence. The main event is not the final event played like many assume. The circuit series continues for 11 events, a 9 venue series.
The first of the circuit events will start on September 7th and end on May 23 in New Orleans. The full schedule is below.
Changes have been made for these events. The tournaments will have a $5,000 buy-in unlike prior years which were $10,000. Event winners will also receive a seat in the 2007 WSOP main event as part of the winning prize.
Commissioner of the WSOP, Jeffrey Pollack says now the circuit events are tied in with Las Vegas and the main event.
Each circuit event holds various tournaments from low stakes to the expensive main circuit event championship. All venues have different tournaments. The main championship costs $5,000 and is held at each venue.
