The Aussie millions attracted online qualifiers from Party Poker and the players showed their stuff with top 10 finishes. One business kid won almost ¾ of a million dollars
Two players whom qualified online at Party Poker recently finished in the top 6 at the Aussie Millions. The second place finisher was a player who qualified through an online tournament at Party Poker and won over $520,000 at the Aussie Tournament.
It seems young players are taking PartyPoker qualifiers by storm. Not only was the second place finisher a player from PartyPoker.com but the 4th place finisher as well. Shanon from Alabama won over $270,000 in Austrailla. Shanon is only 20 years old. Neither of these players were familiar with Austrailla and it was their first live experience at a poker table let alone in front of cameras.
Bobby who was the second place finisher in the Aussie Millions Tournament is a student and aspiring golfer. He plays golf for his university and is on scholarship. He plans to continue with school and will spend and invest his money wisely. Bobby says he would love to be the next Phil Ivey or Tiger Woods.
Shanon has a different outlook on what the big finish may produce. Shanon expects to become pro once he turns 21. Yes that’s right. He wants to wait until he’s old enough. While still at a young age he has big ambitions. He expects to his the circuit and to hit it hard. He says his parents are just now starting to accept his decision and the win helped persuade them.
In total there were 80 PartyPoker qualifiers to play in the Aussie Millions. All these players qualified by playing online at Party Poker and winning their way to the big million dollar Aussie event down under.
