3D Poker Room Set To Launch – PKR.com

A fresh new brand of poker rooms called “PKR” is set to launch. The poker site will offer a 3D animated mode.
“PKR” the 3D poker room is set to launch sometime in June. The exact opening date has yet to be determined. PKR is accepting registrations for beta testers. The software is not yet capable of downloading via the website at PKR.com.
This new poker site will have Texas Holdem, Omaha, and Hi/Low Omaha. The games will consist of limit and no limit versions with full tables or heads up matches. Sit n Go tournaments will be offered as well as multi-table tournaments with up to 5,000 players.
One of the primary concerns among users is the game speed due to so many animations. PKR says they have taken this into consideration and the game speed will not be compromised. The poker room will supposedly run at the same speed as 2D poker rooms.
The poker software will allow for 6 different scene changes such as a Beach scene and a Vegas scene. First person, overhead, and director mode will be offered for different viewing of the table.
The poker room will run on Windows and will only be compatible with Macs using Virtual PC or during a Dual Boot.
