3D poker rooms are the new rave in online poker
The days of funky interfaces and clip art looking online poker rooms seem to be coming to an end but do players really like 3D rooms better? Rooms like Stackpoker.com are one of the latest online poker rooms trying to move towards a video game style poker room.
Stackspoker which is expected to launch in a few months is one poker room whom is gearing towards a 3D video game experience for their poker room. The site will have animated aviators, 3D graphics, and even some graphics that they are not revealing. The real question is, “Will this increase the poker rooms bottom line?”
Noble Poker was one of the first online poker rooms to implement the 3D style graphics. The funny thing is that they no longer have this 3D mode. Players found it to be cumbersome and too much. Noble Poker also had talking player graphics with animated movements. Sadly to say Noble got rid of the animated movements but kept the sound effects.
While extreme player graphics may incrase the initial player conversion many professionals aren’t positive that it increases the bottom line. The graphics and effects could possibly cause confusion and wear on the players.
