The long awaited no-download version of Absolute Poker’s Mac software has been pushed back. The release date is not known.
Absolute Poker sent out a newsletter last week stating their Mac and no-download version was to be released on the 25th of January. Five days have passed and the version is not yet out. Here is what the email said. This came in the latest Absolute poker monthly poker bonus newsletter.
“Play anywhere on a Mac or PC – Soon, you’ll be able to play Absolute Poker from any computer with an internet connection. On January 25th, we’re launching our Instant Play version of Absolute Poker and no download will be required! Got a Mac? Hop online and play. Away from your home computer? No download means no worries.”
Compatiblepoker got word of Absolute’s Mac version more than 6 months ago. We were told that because of all the issues surrounding the that the Mac version was not going to be released anytime soon. That was before this email was sent.
We have come to the conclusion that Absolute Poker was caught off guard by the Neteller problems and have been putting all their man power towards setting up new ewallet providers like Wirecard. Once they get that straightened out we will probably see the Mac Absolute Poker version released.
As a side note, Full Contact Poker representatives contacted Compatiblepoker to let us know their no download version was also gearing up for launch. If you remember, Full Contact used to be Mac compatible when they were connected with Ongame but when Ongame dropped US players, Full Contact dropped their no download software.
