Absolute Poker with Mozilla Firefox SUCKS
Written by Roger S | Thursday, November 27th, 2008
Ok, so obviously a lot of people reading this are Mac users. I personally use Mozilla as my browser instead of Safari.
If you’ve ever tried to use the Java, no download software at Absolute Poker on Mozilla you know what I’m about to say as you nod your head.
First off, it’s so freaking slow it makes you want to exit immediately. Btw, before I go off on a complete tangent I’ve told all this stuff to the tech support over and over and they continue to do nothing about it.
Secondly, trying to use the scroll buttons in the lobby is absolutely useless. It literally does not work. You can click the down button and it will take about 10 seconds before the tables start to roll down. Then it usually bounces back up to the top. So table sorting is impossible.
Thirdly is the cashier button. Another button you’d think Absolute poker might want to actually have working. But no, it doesn’t. You click on it and nothing happens…..no I don’t have a pop-up blocker stupid tech support. If you do manage to get into the cashier and try to withdraw you encounter another nightmare. After entering all your information (this is for a bank wire) you click “submit” and to no surprise, you get a spinning Apple (busy graphic) for about 30 minutes before it times out.
And lastly, while this doesn’t pertain to Mozilla specifically, they got rid of the automatic Mac detection. Now to find the Mac Java software you have to look for a small button at the bottom of the page. Before it detected which OS you were using and sent you to the correct page.
Wow this has turned into a major whine session but freaking A I just spent an hour trying to cashout. And one more thing people are pissed about. The Cereus Network decided to use the AP software instead of the UB software which everyone knows is far more inferior to UB’s.
What a nightmare AP’s Java software is right now for Mac or Linux users. I’m not sure if Windows users are having the same problems on their PC’s when using Mozilla but if they are…..lots of money out the door for the owners of Absolute Poker.
And that’s that. Have a Good Thanksgiving! FYI everything works fine in Safari so don’t make the same mistake I did.
