Avatars and Backgammon Coming to PacificPoker

On Thursday of next week, May 10th 2007, Pacific Poker plans on beefing up their poker software. In total the changes will include player avatars, a new lobby, rebuy tournaments, backgammon and finally the ability to choose your own password.
The download software will receive these changes but it is still unsure if the Mac online poker software will have all the new upgrades.
Pacific Poker has endured its fair share of suggestions and bashings in forums because of slow software and bugs. Pacific Poker seems to be improving but the question is, “What took so long”. In the Pacific Poker forum these suggestions were made years ago.
Unfortunatley due to non-US acceptance, players from the United States will never get to see these changes on real money games.
The addition of casino games has always been readily available at 888, Pacific Poker’s casino side, but now bankrolls can be transferred over to casino accounts without having to create a new casino player account. The new Backgammon games will also be accompanied with the transfer of funds.
While some players still prefer the classic look of a blank table with empty seats, Pacific Poker has decided to have player avatars sitting at the tables. For those new to online poker, avatars are just graphics used to make it look like a real person is sitting at the table.
Probably the biggest pain in the butt at Pacific Poker was that they issued passwords only once that were extremely hard to remember. The password would be something like XKEJDIWJJSJ and you were supposed to remember that? Finally, Pacific Poker has added the ability to change your password to something personal.
There is no doubt the facelift was much need, Mac users can now only hope the Java version earns the advancements. The 25% up to $100 bonus will be continued at Pacificpoker.com upon deposit as well.
