Went to the Bahamas Yadayadayada It was Fun

I made my first commercial flight in 9 years last week. As I’ve said before I don’t like to fly. I can finally say, “used to” not fly. There was a period of about 7-8 years where I didn’t fly at all. I’m free of that s### now and it’s like a huge a## weight has been lifted from my whole life. I’m still not sure about the 5-10+ hour flights though.
What’s weird is it really wasn’t all that bad. Taking 5 times the suggested med dose for flight anxiety helped too, lol. All I heard were horror stories about people flying, the lines, baggage claim, prices etc. WTF, it wasn’t bad at all. Yea it was a bit strange taking my shoes off but it was kind of funny at the same time. They said show up 2 hours before my flight, and I ended up waiting an hour and a half in the lobby doing nothing. I really don’t know what all the bad hype is about flying but anyways…
Me and Jasper took the flight to the Bahamas to watch Michael Jordan’s Celebrity Invitational. He knows MJ so it was pretty neat seeing him inside of the ropes talking to him. Jasper if you don’t know used to work with me at TPC sawgrass scrubbing golf clubs. He now helps me with stuff on my betting sites on the side and does his golf tournament management thing. The whole celebrity thing doesn’t do it for me, probably because I don’t watch TV anymore and just could really care less about famous people. I have a bunch of pics but don’t feel like posting them, here’s just one of Jasper with MJ.

The coolest part of the trip for me was watching Jerry Seinfield’s live performance. I’ve seen every episode of Seinfield at least twice, it was just so funny listening to him talk about 2010 related scenarios. At first I didn’t think his show would be all that funny but by the time it ended my stomach was killing from laughing so hard. He really knows how to connect with audiences and I still find myself laughing when I see things that he talked about during his act.
Me, Matt and a friend, Brandon are thinking about heading out to Colorado to go snowboarding. I’ve never done it but can’t imagine it being much different from surfing and wakeboarding minus the cold ass weather. If there are waves in Puerto Rico I’d like to get in a week or so down there again before winter ends and it goes flat.
As you can see since I’m enjoying traveling I’m putting work aside, as usual. I haven’t enjoyed working on my websites for at least two years now anyways…yet I continue to buy new poker websites, WTF. It’s hard to get in the mind frame of not buying a domain name I like simply because I know a little bit of work you could pretty much flip the site and let it sit, and make a good investment on it in less than a year. Either way I always have that nagging thought in my mind to say F’ it, and just sell off all my website business assets. A big adios “yadayadayada” for a couple years until my no-compete’s wore out.
So that’s my wonderful monthly blog post. Hope everyone is having fun in London right now. Congrats to Kris for defending his title in London for the International Affiliate Beer Shotgun contest we came up with last year in the Bahamas. Dude can drink a beer in like a second. I guess the sippy straw didn’t work for Mr. 32 Red, which btw that number SUCKED this year on the roulette table. Didn’t hit once out of the 20+ hours I played roulette.

Sounds like a fun trip… I would have loved to see Jerry live. I think I have watched every episode of Seinfeld about 10 times. Good to see you are over the fear of travelling! Where is the next stop?

Kris – I don’t drink beer but I might have to bring some reinforcement to take the title to the US!
We’re back down in Puerto Rico right now Graham. Was invited to play golf in Curaco (almost next to your transplant continent of South America and Bodog is having March Madness events in Vegas that we’re heading to.
That isn’t by any chance where you had that one helo picture of you and your buddy? Apparently they did a flyover of the grand canyon last year as part of it?
