BigRiskky Joins PokerXFactor

Normally a poker pro joining online poker rooms makes big news. However BigRiskky has hit the poker news portals with the news of his signing up with a poker training site. That training site is PokerXFactor, which is run by Eric ‘Sheets’ Haber and Cliff ‘JohnnyBax’ Josephy.

BigRiskky is the moniker of Scott Clements. Clements would be producing training videos for teaching players the fundamentals of No Limit Texas Hold’em and Omaha tournaments and cash games.

Though Clements has turned pro only in 2005 he is the right choice for PokerXFactor because he has done remarkably well in both No Limit Texas Hold’em and Omaha. In 2005 he cashed in three World Series Of Poker (WSOP) Circuit events of which he won the $1,000 No Limit Hold’em event in Lake Tahoe. In the WSOP of 2006 he cashed out in the $2,000 Omaha Hi/Lo event and then won his first bracelet in the $3,000 Omaha Hi/Lo event.

His performance in 2007 was even better. He had eleven cashes out of which five were in the WSOP. He won his second bracelet that year in the Pot Limit Omaha event defeating Eric ‘Rizen’ Lynch in the heads up. 2008 saw nine cashes for Clemens and one first place. And this year so far he has already two cashes to his credit. He currently stands at No 11 in the Bluff Power Rankings.

His online performance as BigRiskky is not as spectacular. This is because he had stopped playing online for a while when it became illegal in the state of Washington. (Incidentally in Washington US poker sites are a bigger sin than online porn.) However BigRiskky has cashed in the PokerStars Sunday Million, which is online poker’s richest weekly tournament, and in the Main Event of the PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker. Clements worked as a mortgage broker before turning pro. He is currently with Full Tilt Poker.

Clements will be joining an illustrious tem of instructors at PokerXFactor. Of course Josephy is very much there. Others include Lynch (the pro Clements beat for his second bracelet), Michael “inissint” Glasser, Jon “PearlJammer” Turner, Jon “apestyles” Van Fleet, Kevin “BeL0WaB0Ve” Saul, and Chris “brsavage” Savage. Chris “Fox” Wallace is the chief instructor at PokerXFactor.

He reacted to Clements’ signing up with them by saying, “It’s a great coup for PokerXFactor to get a guy like Scott Clements. The site is so loaded with top-flight tournament players that I may quit playing cash games and just have these guys teach me how to make millions playing tournaments.”
