Despite the huge loss of players coming from the Tribeca Network USA departure, Doyles Room continues on an upward climb.
After the Tribeca Network, which DoylesRoom was connected with, dropped out of the US market many feared the end for Doylesroom.com. According to Pokersitescout the player volume of DoylesRoom has actually increased.
Average player numbers were around 2000 before the US Gaming Act was passed and we now see numbers in the 2500 range. Large sign up promo codes for Doylesroom are being pushed which are heading the strong signups.
The Tribeca Network was part of a large connection of sites. It was sold to Playtech a few weeks ago for $139 million dollars. The US gambling law was the straw that broke Tribecas back.
Doyles Room now has 3 choices if they want to serve US players. They can join the new uprising Network which is soon to be released in a few days. This new Network is best described as the “Refugee Sites Network” still looking to serve players from the USA but couldn’t under their existing network providers.
They could also create their own software and run a stand alone application. This is not likely as a large network player base is needed to compete with the already sizeable PokerStars.com.
The third option they could choose is to join the Microgaming poker network. There have been a few programs to do so. One disadvantage to doing this would be that 11 states are restricted from the Microgaming software.
Tribeca gave Doyles Room 6 months to make up their mind. Until then the games continue while the fate of US online gambling rests in the governments’ hands.
