Florida Seminole Casinos Push their Poker

Ahead of July 1st, Seminole Casinos are advertising the exciting changes that poker players can expect to see in Florida, thanks to a change in legislation.
The casinos are marketing the new “all in, all the time” action that players can expect to find at casinos such as the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casinos in Hollywood and Tampa.
New laws remove the $100 maximum buy in for no limit poker, as well as the $5 maximum bet per round in limit games. The reforms also allow for the removal of the $1000 poker tournament buy in limits.
The Seminole hope that with the relaxation of poker laws, the state of Florida will be able to attract massive tournaments on an international scale that have only been able to find a home in Las Vegas until now.
“Nowhere is the potential exposure for Florida poker bigger than in the tournament arena,” noted the Florida based Ante Up magazine. “With buy-in caps removed, Florida rooms can now court the World Poker Tour, the North American Poker Tour, perhaps even a World Series of Poker circuit event, all of which provide expansive television coverage that will show players around the world that real poker can now be played in Florida.”
The Seminole pride themselves in running superb poker action at their six poker rooms around the state, including the Mega Bad Beat Poker Jackpot program which guarantees players a minimum of $100,000 each time someone hits. Since January 2010, Seminole Casinos have paid out $2.5 million through this promotion.
There are near 1,400 poker seats in Seminole casinos across the state that will be able to offer 24 hour poker action. Other poker venues will also be allowed to run uncapped poker tournaments, but are restricted to 18 hours of poker during weekdays.
