Harrah’s Markets WSOP Poker Site in US

Within a few short years, Harrah’s Entertainment has done a complete turnaround regarding its attitude to online gambling. The United State’s largest gambling group, Harrah’s has a huge presence in the land based industry through its casinos in prime locations such as the Vegas Strip.
Where once Harrah’s opposed the legalization of online gambling in the United States due to fear that this branch would affect its revenues and prove to be too strong in terms of competition, things have certainly changed.
The first step was the launch of its own online gambling line outside of the United States in a bid to tap into growing markets where internet gaming is allowed by law.
Harrah’s then launched free to play sites that would allow players to enjoy all their products without the need to wager for real money.
Recently, it was revealed that Harrah’s is now soliciting players from the United States to its free-to-play sites, getting them to sign up and benefit from the products.
The idea is that once the gambling laws in the United States change to allow residents to play for real money, Harrah’s will already have established a sound customer base and it will be easy to switch to real money gambling.
A Harrah’s ad has already appeared in the national USA Today publication and the group is also promoting its online poker room through the ESPN sports channel.
It is expected that other gambling moguls will see wisdom in this strategy and adopt it for themselves, with the general consensus being that there is no going backwards when it comes to online gambling.
