Internet Poker Dooms Day Has Come

The Senate passed the official final bill last night to make gambling transactions illegal. The bill was attached to a Port Security bill.
Before I begin this news piece I want to let you know. While this piece of legislation passed it may take up to a year to fully make full impact. During the course of the year it will become harder and harder for you to make deposits into gaming sites. This is what the bill was set out to do. The following article is our interpretation of everything thing that is going on. More details will be published on Monday.
For those of you who watched last night on CSpan as the internet gambling bill got attached and passed along with a Port Security bill, you are certainly disgusted. The manner and means by which the bill was deviously passed not only is un-American but embarrassing as a nation.
Bill Frist the main man pushing the ban on poker did this. He couldn’t get the bill passed by normal means so he attached the bill to something that he knew would pass. How did he do this? Well there is a bill called Port Security which protects terrorists from bringing in nuclear weapons into the through our port system. Who’s going to vote nay to that? Nobody, and that’s why they leached the gambling bill alongside it.
As unbelievable as it sounds it is the truth. So what does all this mean? The bill that passed talks about making it very difficult and illegal for Americans to put in and take out funds to these poker rooms. Well what about Neteller you say? That’s the grey area right now. There is uncertainty as to if the has legal rights to do such a thing.
Right now the big poker centers are saying we have about 270 days before the bill goes into place. Places like gambling911 have some more positive news that the Internet Poker sites are planning to fight back and sue. Here is a great article in regards to that http://www.gambling911.com/Port-Security-Bill-Passes-Internet-Gambling-093006.html
I’d like to give a big thanks to those who tried to keep the bill from passing. Representative Shelley Berkley really voiced her opinion during her speech exclaiming “Give me a Break”. She was outraged that an internet gambling bill was attached to something as important as our national security.
Some things were even left off the Port Security bill to make sure the gambling bill got attached. Peter King of Homeland Security seemed a little shocked about the gambling bill being attached.
So, it’s too early to panic but let it be known that the bill did pass, online gambling is officially illegal, and they are working on ways to prevent you from making transactions. It makes you wonder why they call it “Land of the free”.
Here are some great speeches done by those who opposed and were for the bill.
Oh and btw, you can still gamble on state run internet horse betting sites.
