Jay Z Loses $500K in One Hand

Jay Z (aka Shawn Carter) is rumoured to have lost $500K in one single hand of poker during a high stakes game in Vegas. Considering he’s worth a half billion dollars, JayZ’s probably not sweating it.
Apparently this game was supposed to be a friendly game with bets consisting of a few hundred per hand. It’s rumoured that the music legend was holding his own, and at one point only down a couple thousand. Jay Z proceeded to raise another player $500,000 with his pocket queens. Unfortunately he couldn’t make them hold against his opponents flush.
The game was not just a home game with a bunch of friends but instead he was seated with some well known professionals. It has not been disclosed who won the pot, or even who was sitting at the table, but you can bet that $500,000 will not be hurting this hip-hop mogul considering his estimated net worth exceeds $500 Million US.
Jay Z is one of the top hip hop artists and entrepreneurs in the history of music, with over 6 Grammy’s, 10 solo albums and acting in over 5 films. He was at one time the president and CEO of Def Jam Records, co-founded Roc-A-Fella Records, is currently a co-owner of the New Jersey Nets, and to top it off he has opened multiple clubs in New York City as well as other parts of the United States.
Maybe Jay Z should be looking into coaching from one of the pros since he can easily lose $500K… I hear Matusow is hard up for cash.
