Lynch Locks it with Online Poker Site

Poker pro, Eric Lynch, aka Rizen, has become the first top player to sign with Lock Poker, a member of the fast growing Cake Poker Network. Lynch, who has earned himself over $800,000 in his forays into the exciting World Series of Poker world over the years, is a training instructor at the PokerXFactor.com site and writes for Bluff Magazine.

Lynch and Lock Poker first crossed paths when the popular online poker site hosted the Bluff Online Poker Challenge several months ago. Lynch was part of a group of professional players who were challenged to make as much money as possible within a certain time frame, with the beginning amount of $200.

While Lynch came in 6th in the challenge, his talents nevertheless caught the eye of Lock Poker and he was approached with an offer. “Being a part of the Bluff Online Poker Challenge started the relationship,” recalled Lynch. “It allowed me to see who Lock Poker was. If they just came out of the blue and started talking to me, things might have been much different. After getting a chance to work with them, pursuing a partnership made a lot of sense.”

So what will this relationship entail?

For one, Eric “Rizen” Lynch will be heading off to the World Series of Poker 2009 competition wearing the Lock Poker shirt. In addition, he will be focusing the majority of his play, especially cash games, through Lock Poker.

Lynch was enthusiastic about his future ventures with Lock Poker and said: “One of the things that’s exciting about Lock Poker is that they have a real focus on players. They want to be one of the best sites out there. If you don’t set lofty goals, you’re never going to get there. Everyone I’ve spoken to is enthusiastic and knows what they’re talking about.”

A father of two, Lynch has also found time in his career to author a book entitled Winning Poker Tournaments: One Hand at a Time Volume I together with Jon Turner, Jon Van Fleet and Matthew Hilger.
