Man Trades $1.36 Million for $10

It’s not uncommon for a poker site to accidently credit a players account for a few bucks. But, over the weekend a truly extrodinary miscalculation occured where a Bodog player’s ecash was increased by over $1,360,000.
No, this was not play money and it is not a joke. At first I was a bit skeptical until I saw the screenshots and it appeared to be perfectly legit.
Turns out this guy it happened to was just a low stakes poker player who played the $50NL tables. He was playing a few tables, went to check his cashier to see how much he was up and instead of being around $1000 he noticed the huge figure in his account.
He then proceeded to immediately contact customer support to tell them of the error hoping for some sort of large reward or gift from Bodog. For his loyal actions he was rewarded a $10 bonus. In essence he traded $1.36 million dollars for $10 and a thank you.
Because of fraud protection and common accounting there is a good chance this error would have been discovered by the Bodog team shortly. This was a pretty funny comment someone made about the situation.
“Wow original poster, first of all I applaud your morality in this situation, there really needs to be more people around like you. Having said that, if I had a dog that was as dumb as you, I’d have it put down”
So what would you have done? Return the money or try and run with the money. One thing is for sure, the player this happened to needs to contact someone other than basic support for a larger reward. Bodog is actually a very generous company although some don’t believe this.
