Maxim Magazine Highlights Hottest Poker Celebs
Written by Renee K | Thursday, March 11th, 2010
The hottest female poker players were listed in Maxim Magazine this week, and we thought we’d take a look at the names that the publication felt worth mentioning.
The young ladies listed under Celebrity Poker Aces were all pictured in attractive poses. The magazine said that it wanted “to show off the hottest hold ‘em players on the planet. You can bet each of these ladies up the ante and show their poker face each time they see one another. Here’s hoping they go all in at this week’s tournament… cause we know there’s no bluffing with them.”
So who made the list?
In alphabetical order they were:
Cameron Diaz
Heather Graham
Jenna Fischer
Jennie Garth
Jennifer Love Hewitt
Jennifer Tilley
Jenny McCarthy
Joanna Krupa
Lacey Chabert
Lauran Prepon
Mena Suvari
Odette Yustman
Pamela Anderson
Rosario Dawson
Sarah Silverman
Serinda Swan
Shannon Elizabeth
Tiffany Michelle
Traci Bingham
Vanessa Rousso
The first arbitrary question that comes to mind after seeing this list is: Why are so many hot pokers named some kind of Jen? Clearly there is no answer to that one….
Some of these ladies truly do make regular appearances on the world poker circuit and are well known faces. Some of them, such as Tiffany Michelle, even represent poker rooms. Michelle has been the face of UB.com since 2008 and does them proud. She was the last standing female player in the 2008 World Series of Poker, winning nearly $335,000 for her efforts and coming a very impressive 17th place in a field of 6,844 players.
Celebs such as Jennifer Love Hewitt stick to charity circuits to raise funds for the needy. In October she took part in the Children’s Institute’s ‘Poker for a Cause’ celebrity poker tournament in California and helped bring in significant amounts of money. Other who took part in the poker tournament included Mimi Rogers, Alison Sweeney, Jennie Garth (from the Maxim list) and Ricki Lake.
