Microgaming Software and Maria Poker

The female poker world is buzzing as Unibet’s Maria Poker has been launched on the Microgaming platform. Maria Poker is a sister site to the bingo portal, Maria Bingo, which Unibet acquired in 2007.

The new site, Maria Poker, has been designed in such a way as to attract women, bringing a distinctly feminine feel to the game, as does the successful bingo portal, Maria Bingo.

Microgaming is the largest software provider in the online gaming industry worldwide, and are excited to be the company to help launch Maria Poker. Roger Raatgever, Microgaming’s Chief Executive Officer said “It is a fantastic testament to our experience that Unibet has continued to trust in Microgaming’s software platform for the launch of its latest venture.” Raatgever continued to say “There is currently a boom period of female participation in gaming, so it is certain that Maria Poker is set to become an exciting portal in all countries.”

Women have been playing poker successfully for well over a century, however, men still dominate the game. Portals such as Maria Poker give women a place where they can come together to play, and enjoy the features that are offered for novices and for more experienced players.

Beginners joining the Maria Poker portal will find an online poker school, which will guide these novices through their game and the Maria Poker website. Basic games are taught in a step-by-step tutorial, with visual aids, quick tips improvement techniques and more.

Maria Poker has been designed with the player in mind. It is powered by Microgaming’s new Flash Poker software, which features a no-lobby interface, which is somewhat unusual in online poker sites. Games can be chosen straight from the poker table itself, which ensures that players are seated seconds after their selection has been made.

Maria Poker players will enjoy the additional features offered, including turbo tables for quick players, guaranteed daily tournaments, and an extensive range of freerolls. Maria Poker offer player bonuses from €50 to €500 with no minimum deposit. Players can also earn €25 when registering as they earn their first 250 VIP loyalty points.

The CEO of Unibet and Maria Poker, Petter Nylander said “We are excited to launch Poker on the Maria brand, which is possibly the strongest female brand in Northern Europe.”

In a nutshell, those looking to enhance their poker experience will find that “Maria Poker is now even flashier!” as is stated on their classy red and white website.
