It’s hard to believe that the Mirage Hotel and Casino complex in Las Vegas is already 20 years old. The location has hosted top poker tournaments with some of the biggest names in the industry and is synonymous with quality events throughout the year.

To celebrate its 20th birthday, the Mirage Hotel and Casino announced this week that it will be throwing a huge bash, inviting some of the greatest celebs to share in the joy.

While all eyes will be on the musicians who will grace visitors with their presence at a number of poolside parties throughout the weekend, the Mirage has also promised a different kind of celebration for poker enthusiasts.

A private celebrity poker tournament will be held at the Mirage from October 2nd, and already the question on everyone’s lips is – Who will be there?

The promoters of the 20th Birthday Bash have confirmed that rock guitarist Slash and Maroon 5 artist, Adam Levine, will play at a poolside party in the hotel’s honor.

These musicians will be joined by Tommy Lee, the wild boy drummer for Motley Crue, as well as Courtney Love, Rob Zombie and other celebs.

The Mirage is considered the first mega resort to be built on the Las Vegas Strip.

It’s creation in 1989 by Steve Wynn triggered the development of massive projects on the strip, earning the Mirage the title of flagship for the region.

Since the year of its creation, the Mirage has changed hands and is currently owned by MGM Mirage.

Millions of dollars have been spent upgrading the hotel and casino, with the latest facelift project costing a staggering $25 million.

The Mirage Hotel and Casino boasts a thirty table poker room in the non smoking area of the casino. Most of the tables incorporate Texas Hold ‘em play, although Omaha and Seven Card Stud are also offered on demand.

A series of poker tournaments are also offered at the Mirage, with stakes steeping at the weekend. Sit and go’s are also part of the action if enough players ask for them.
