The poker world is set to benefit from a brand new product, thanks to HeadsUp Entertainment Internet. The group, which owns and operates the Canadian Poker Tour, as well as the Canadian Poker Player Magazine, said that it will be bringing poker enthusiasts a new internet TV network that will supply quality poker entertainment nearly 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.

The new product, CanadianPokerPlayer.tv, will also aim on creating a social community for its players who will be able to enjoy the brand on a membership basis.

The President of HeadsUp Entertainment, Kelly B. Kellner said that the product, which is set to launch in the fourth quarter of this year, will give players an innovative and effective means to pursue their interest in poker.

Kellner explained in an interview just what the new product would incorporate.

“Some of the programming for the station will include over 20 hours of content produced in Canada over the past four years from the Canadian Open Poker Championships in 2006, 2008, and 2009 from Calgary,” said the President.

“We are currently working with several of the online poker sites to include programming from around the world that they have produced as well,” continued Kellner. “Some original programming will commence immediately and we will be incorporating live feeds from events in Canada and around the world.”

According to HeadsUp Entertainment, professional poker players will play a big role in the promotion of the new network, a move that will also benefit their careers. “We have tremendous relationships with many poker pros,” said Kellner. “We are looking to build on that to incorporate innovative programming to follow their poker careers.”

HeadsUp Entertainment has long term goals to expand to international markets, and the new poker network is the first step in this strategy. The network will cover all major Canadian poker events and a peek behind the scenes of the Canadian Poker Tour.
