Online Poker – Confusion and Chaos Continues

Written by Roger S | Friday, February 16th, 2007

From Neteller causing mass confusion to the constant changing online poker companies, players begin to show their frustration.

Frustration doesn’t begin to express how many online poker players are feeling. The UIEGA set off a never ending domino affect in the online poker industry.

Lack of support is also causing much of the confusion. Information is in demand and many support personnel at these poker rooms say they are burnt out. Not only are they receiving the same questions over and over but many times upper management is leaving them in the dark. This only adds to the confusion and never ending questions.

On the other side of the market are the ewallet providers. Many poker players who are trying to withdraw their money from the poker rooms are experiencing huge delays.

Players are saying that at some sites like Full Tilt Poker their withdraws have been pending for weeks only to get another email today saying their withdraws have not yet been processed. Many are beginning to feel like Full Tilt is stalling to keep the money at hand. Their excuses keep racking up.

At other sites like Pokerstars com the withdraws are much speedier said players. “It took about 1 week to get my check which was a nice surprise for once. It felt good to finally get my money out. I felt relieved.”

The best thing for players to do right now is to take it easy. Deposit only what you can afford not to withdraw.

The worst situation I’ve heard so far is one person who was waiting on his money to withdraw so he could pay for his wedding. His money is still pending in Neteller and it could be months before he receives his own cash.

Companies like Poker.com confused many of their players this month by turning their website into a “ Poker Review Center ”. Their new gaming software is labeled Carbon Poker. Everything from the software to the Carbon poker promo codes will be similar to the ex-poker room, Poker.com.

The managers at poker.com said this was their reasoning. “We don’t own the .net version of Poker.com. Now we can advertise our Carbonpoker.NET extension on TV.”

So when will the confusion stop? Probably not until every US accepted poker site is shut down for good. It’s unfortunate but until the government is satisfied the chaos continues.

For those who like to keep up to date on the US online poker related news we continue to blog about it on our tracking page.
