Pacific Poker Goes Hi-Tech

Pacific Poker’s Mac software now automatically detects Mac users.
Mac compatible poker site, Pacific Poker, has upgraded their homepage website to automatically detect Mac users. The website will customize itself to whatever user is on at the time whether it be a Mac or Windows.
Prior to this change Pacific Poker users either had to go to the Mac landing page or find the no-download software located on the old homepage. With the new website homepage design Mac users no longer have to do this. When a player goes to the site on a Mac the page they will view is the Mac specific page.
This innovative technology also stems to the casino software as well. There was also a specific Mac page for casino users prior to the change. Casino users no longer have to search for the Flash casino software sometimes hidden on the website.
Pacific Poker is currently the only website to offer this technology. One reason Pacific Poker decided to do this was that Mac users were visiting the homepage and leaving because they would try to “Download” the software which was not compatible with Macs. Their “No Download” software was located off to the side and most Mac users never saw it and simply left the poker room and never returned.
Elimination of “No Download” software is on the minds of many online casinos. The reason behind this is the casinos offer more games in the download software. Revenues are much lower for “No Download” players because there is no desktop item to make the player impulse play at a later date. While many casinos want to get rid of the no download software all together they can’t because of computers like Macs which don’t support the download versions. Pacific Poker seems to have found the ultimate solution. A transforming website so to speak.
Pacific Poker hopes this redesign of the software will eliminate confusion, loss of players and also help retention in their current Mac users. With places like Full Tilt right on their tales more innovative ideas are being forced among Mac compatible poker websites.
