Party Poker Cheating Scandal Revealed

Party Poker reveals an online scandal that disqualified the $500k tournament winner JJProdigy.

JJProdigy a well known online poker pro was disqualified from a $500k guaranteed tournament after he won first place prize at Party Poker.  His real name is Josh Fields and was the reason Justin Bonomo was caught for cheating as well.

The tournament is one of the biggest online tournaments Party Poker holds. JJProdigy was disqualified for playing multiple accounts at the same time. While JJProdigy was playing he was also playing under the name of ABlackcar. He won under that name before he was disqualified.

JJProdigy says he was playing under his grandmother’s account which was ABlackcar. Playing multiple accounts is strictly forbidden at Party Poker. After he was stripped of his first place winnings of nearly $140,000 he was forced to redistribute the winnings to the other players in the tournament.

This highly published event should be shown as an example by Party Poker. Party Poker is always in the spot light for accusations of cheating. JJProdigy says he knows a lot of people that cheat in these bigger tournaments at Party Poker and that it’s not uncommon.

Unfortunately for online gaming this does take place. Places like PokerStars and Party Poker say it can rarely happen anymore with their advanced technology but every once in awhile players slip under their radar.

JJProdigy is highly regarded as being one of the very best at online poker. What compelled him to do this nobody knows. Many players were hoping that they ban JJ from all further games at Party Poker and to all online gaming rooms to serve a better example.
