Party Poker and related PartyGaming issued their Q2 revenue reports with monthly player sign up figures.

Mitch Garber - PartyGaming CFOPartyGaming’s figures increased from last years 2005 numbers. The numbers were quite dramatic showing almost a 50% boost which equates to a $319 million rise in revenues. The report also shows poker players are spending more time at the tables with active player days up 23%.

Because of the recent political turmoil regarding internet poker, PartyGaming has decided to shrink their dependence on the market and focus more heavily abroad and into South America. PartyGaming previously was 90% dependant on players but reports only 75% dependence now.

The CEO of PartyGaming, Mitch Garber, said they were please with this quarters revenue reports. He was even more content that PartyGaming was successfully implementing their plan to truly become a global poker company and not based on one nation.

Party Poker was one of the original brands of PartyGaming but casino, bingo, and backgammon revenues contributed to this quarter’s numbers. Casino revenues were minimal compared to poker revenues. Around $800,000 was made per day in the casino and an estimated $2.7 million per day on the poker tables.

This quarter’s revenues are down from Q1. Potential causes are considered to be from cyclical patterns in poker players behaviors. Early summer time has been related to low player revenue during similar months in the past.

Player volume continues to increase. Skeptics who believe poker is a dying fad can be kept quiet with Party Poker’s statistics. A 53% gain in players was seen when compared to previous year’s quarter.
