If you have an extra $ 2 million to spare and you want some of that Ivey magic to rub off on you by living within the same walls of the world’s best poker player, then you may want to consider heading down to Vegas to check out a property.
Phil Ivey has listed his Las Vegas property on the market at an asking price of $1,995,000 and he is hopeful that he will get the cash.
The home itself is a contemporary property, built quite recently in 2001. It has superb mountain views, its own golf course, lots of light through countless windows and a two storey main room with a huge fireplace.
Other features listed include three additional fireplaces, six bathrooms, three bedrooms, place to park four cars, 16,000 square feet of garden and grounds which includes a swimming pool and a spa, and over 6,700 square feet of living area.
Phil Ivey and his wife of seven years divorced just before Christmas last year and the need to sell the house may be as a result of these changes. The 34 year old remains at the top of the list of professional poker players who have made the most money in their career, with incredible total earnings of $12.8 million.
Recently, Ivey was honored by the Aria Hotel and Casino in Vegas by having an entire poker room named after him. The high stakes room will complement Ivey’s reputation perfectly. The official opening of the Phil Ivey room will be on May 21st through a $1 million invitational freeroll tournament. The winner of the competition will play Ivey heads up, with a $250,000 prize pool at stake.
There are plenty of reasons why Phil Ivey is considered the best player in the world. He has won no less than seven World Series of Poker champion bracelets and found himself at the final table of the 2009 WSOP Main Event.
