Pic Club and Merge Relationship Denunzio

A major argument is brewing between two groups involved in the online poker industry – the Merge Gaming Network and the PIC Club, an acronym for Players Investment Club which processes online poker payment. PIC Club focuses mainly on the US poker gaming market.
The problems began when the agreement between PIC Club and Merge Gaming Network was terminated. While reasons were not initially given for the termination, PIC Club’s email to its customers three days after the end of the deal noted that it was a mutually agreed decision.
However, the Chief Executive Officer of Merge Gaming, Anthony Taylor felt the need to right the impression that the business relationship was ended mutually and released a statement saying: “It has been brought to my attention, via comments in a public forum, that there is some confusion regarding a relationship we have with a payments provider. To be clear, it was Merge Gaming, who served notice on our agreement with PIC Club.”
Rumors have been flying over the reasons why Merge Gaming and PIC Club ended their contract, and Taylor ended some of them in his reply. “The reasoning behind this is a matter of private record,” he said in his statement. “Merge Gaming attempted to resolve the issue brought on by PIC Club, one of its principals, and one of its members, and without resolution, felt it was in the best interest of our customers to end this relationship immediately.”
Taylor ended his statement by saying that it was regrettable that the group needed to respond to statements made over the past week. He reiterated his group’s decision to end the relationship with PIC Club based on the need to protect its players, its network partners and its reputation.
Merge Gaming Network is a rapidly expanding poker platform, with software licensed, audited and regulated by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission. Some of the poker rooms on the Merge network include Kings Club Poker, Carbon Poker, Spin32 Poker and Poker City.
