Pitbull Poker Owner Being Hunted Down

Written by Roger S | Monday, December 7th, 2009

Online poker fans are quite rightly indignant over suggestions on popular poker message boards to close the debate on Pitbull Poker.

As a recap, this rogue online poker room shut up its website and premises in Costa Rica literally overnight, and many players are still owed money that had been deposited into their accounts.

Pitbull Poker, a relatively small site that worked off the Flash Poker Network, allegedly owes hundreds of thousands of dollars to players and affiliates who have been unable to reach customer support or the site’s owners.

There have been requests on message boards such as 2plus2 that threads relating to Pitbull Poker be closed, but these have been met with strong opposition. The need to warn others about the dangers of Pitbull Poker, as well as doing business with the site’s alleged owner Kevin Baranowski, has been given as the reason to keep threads on this subject going.

Several posters have stressed that they were not giving up on their search for Baranowski, who somehow managed to slip past the Costa Rica police, and that they were determined more than ever to return their money.

At the time of the site’s closure, it had been reported in several media outlets that the police had been called in to stop Baronowski from leaving the country due to money that he owned his employees.

However, it is now clear that he left the country and may be lying low in another region.

Posters such as JC Hawk, however, want justice. “We are now hunting Mr. Baronowski and will find him,” Hawk told the media. He needs to answer a few questions face to face. This will be done soon. His party days with my money are over.”

Hawk was one of the major affiliate owners of Pitbull Poker and claims that he is owed more than $100,000, over and above cash investments that he made with Baronowski and the site’s Network Manager, Dave Brenes.
