It wasn’t too long ago that if you really wanted to feel that you were part of a quality poker room at a top casino, you’d have to make your way to Vegas, Atlantic Casino or further afield to Europe or Macau. The Rivers Casino said in its petition to expand its table games that it is committed to promote diversity in its workforce and would hire candidates from local neighborhoods.
The casino intends hiring over 300 full time and 150 part time employees should its licensing application be approved.
It was reported this week that all nine of the existing casinos in Pennsylvania have now applied for licenses to run table games since the state’s General Assembly passed legislation to legalize them in Jan
