Poker Players Email Senators

With the house passing bill 4411 poker players have begun emailing senators to express their outrage.
The press filled bill to ban internet gambling is drawing closer each day. So when does the Senate vote on this bill?
To pass this bill for the upcoming year the Senate must vote before August 4th before a recess takes place. If the bill is not voted on before that it would be put on hold until next year.
Rallies have been on the bill backers side with the arrest of BetonSports chief executive, David Curruthers. He was charged with racketeering and conspiracy in the USA.
Internet gambling confereneces such as the yearly Bodog conference were put on hold because of scared officials. Poker affiliate and casino managers had to put their plans on hold until either the bill folds or doesn’t get voted on in time.
Some authors and poker players are calling it an attack on their civil liberties and right to be free.
It is estimated that over 3 billion dollars would be generated in revenues in the first year alone if the decided to tax online gambling instead of ban it.
So what can American citizens do in such a short time period to when the bill is acted upon by Senate? The poker players alliance is urging every American poker player to contact their Senator.
Hand written contact emails are best but there are automated letters already filled out for people who don’t have time on their hands. The PAP has set up a tool for anyone wanting to email their Senator.

Editor Note:We must act now before it’s too late. This is not a scare tactic and could be very real if we do not act. Please take the 5 minutes to send in an email to your local Senator. I’m one of the laziest people alive and if I did it, you should too.
