Mac, Linux, Unix and Windows compatible poker room adds WSOP satellites to their tournament sector.
Pokerroom.com nortorious for their online compatibility has hopped on the World Series of Poker bandwagon by offering their customers satellites. These new satellites were launched this week in full force allowing for freeroll entries and high stakes paid entries. (www.Pokerroom.com)
Pokerroom seems to be focusing on three tournament promotions. They have launched the WSOP player points qualifers, the WSOP Race, and the Team pokerroom.com WSOP.
The first and cheapest way for new Pokerroom.com players to qualify for these WSOP satellites is to use their player points. Once a player earns 175 player points they can then trade them in for a World Series of Poker ticket. There are multiple forms that Pokerroom.com is using to promote their free ticket giveaways.
Team pokerroom.com consists of all the satellite winners that will be going to the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. Last years notorious winner was Tom Satori who is well known for his music and poker skills.
The WSOP Race allows Sit N Go players to win additional tickets on top of their normal cash. This WSOP promotional method seems to be targeting the Sit N Go players who want a little extra and are willing to pay a slightly higher tournament fee.
Pokerroom.com is expected to take a strong force in this years online WSOP qualifiers. The competition to attract these players has become fierce as their Mac poker room rivals are right on their tails. Places like Full Tilt and Pacific Poker were ahead of the game offering their WSOP qualifiers months ago to online players. More information on those Mac poker room WSOP qualifiers can be found by viewing the online WSOP qualifier section.
