PokerStars Busts 300k Simultaneous Player Mark

Poker Stars has done it again. The world’s largest online poker site has shattered its own world record and has managed to record more than 300,000 players simultaneously playing poker online at its site.

Poker Stars already held the record for hosting the most players at an internet poker room and had even been given certification by the Guinness Book of World Records for this amazing feat.

But Poker Stars is not a poker room that stops at that. The site decided to try and beat its previous record and on Sunday September 6th, it hailed another impressive feat by beating its previous record by a staggering 100,000 players.

All in all, 307,016 players could be found playing AT ONCE at 41,814 tables at Poker Stars on that day.

Poker Stars is no stranger to world records. It already holds a Guinness World Record for holding the largest online poker tournament after an incredible 65,000 players from over 150 countries around the world gathered to play at Poker Stars on July 19th, 2009.

Once again, Poker Stars beat its own previously held record.

Poker Stars recently said in a press release that its global membership now reaches 27 million players. In addition, since the site launched in 2001, it has dealt more than 33 BILLION hands of poker.

The success of this poker site is truly phenomenal, providing players with just the right blend of poker action and tournaments, with top notch customer support and superb software.

This past weekend saw Poker Stars offering more than $2 million in guaranteed prize pools alone and the latest buzz in the industry is the brand new Porsche being offered by the site in an exclusive tournament.

All players need to do to stand in line to win this luxury vehicle is open an account and make a first deposit using the code NEWCAR.

Existing customers can also enter the competition by reloading their accounts with the code WINCAR.

A freeroll tournament will then determine the winner of this amazing prize at a later date.
