Pokerstars – Did You Cashout?

With literally tens of thousands of poker players who have been shut out of Pokerstars and Full Tilt Poker with absolutely no notice, many are wondering two big questions. How will they get their money(and when), and where will they play? Did you cashout your money from Poker Stars in time, or will you be waiting like the hoards of US players?

For now US players are getting their “fix” at Cakepoker.com which is now the biggest poker site in the world…that takes US players. This poker site is run by the online sportsbook, sportsbook.com so they are capable of handling a huge surge of new customers due to the seasonality of sports betting. Therefore poker players are having no problems depositing at Cakepoker.com with credit cards and the same methods used at Poker Stars and Full Tilt Poker after they closed.

Two spokesmen for these US sites said they will continue business as usual with no interruptions in US play and don’t intend to have any problems with the Government.

Players are flooding the support team with the question, “When will I be able to cashout my money!” The question to that has yet to be announced by Poker Stars or Full Tilt, many because not even they know when they will have the ability to do so. Many are predicting the Department of Justice will allow an alloted amount of time whereas poker players can login to their poker account and withdraw money via checks or some method approved by the government. This is typically what we have seen in historical experiences when the US has seized US citizen funds. Luckily, many in the poker industry are not worried one bit that players will get paid, and thus the reason so many have continued to play at US accepted poker sites.

The current poker sites that accept US play has shown dramatic increases in some cases almost 50% increases, Bodog is reporting a 25% increase. Players who deposited or cashed out via poker echecks were left empty handed as this option is no longer available at any poker site in the US. All the poker sites that used to accept echecks have ironically been seized along with 75 bank accounts.

I will leave you with this thought: The owner of Poker Stars and lawyer contacted me a month ago to remove a quote from our site that said he was wanted by the department of Justice of the United States. They called this “patently false”….the owner is now facing up to 80 years in jail!
