The Poker Players Alliance is always looking for new ways to get its members to support its cause, especially when it comes to pressuring Congress into changing the existing laws governing poker. The PPA recently announced a cutting edge technological tool that should help members lobby Congress in a quicker and more user-friendly way.

The group – which boasts over one million members – has released a new iPhone app that makes contacting influential politicians a breeze. The app has a ‘click to call Congress’ feature, with no more excuses left to avoid doing their bit.

Unveiling the new app, the Executive Director of the PPA, John Pappas said: “Our members are extremely tech savvy and always looking for more ways to show their support for protecting their right to play poker. The PPA iPhone app, like our Tweet for Poker website, provides a cutting edge tool for our members to quickly and easily show their support for online poker.”

The app works like this: It is downloaded to the player’s iPhone as one would download any other program. Those who have the app installed simply need to click a button and they are automatically connected to their member of Congress in Washington DC. No more looking up numbers on the internet. No more going through a long list of possible numbers. The app does the work for the user without absolutely any effort at all.

Other features that the new app boasts includes tournament feeds directly from Bluff Magazine, news feeds from the Poker Players Alliance and the latest tweets. The app also links member to others in their vicinity, allowing them to track the nearest competitions and promos.
