Prague, Boxing, and Whatever

The iGaming Super Show over in the Czech Republic was pretty neat. More so it was nice just getting to hang out with the people and affiliates from the Poker Stars Caribbean Adventure, Curacao, etc again. Besides the fact they like to stay up until 7:30am, and go on no sleep for 3 days, it was great. I’ve never felt so sleep deprived in my life, and it was the first time I ever looked forward to getting on a plane and sleeping for 9 hours on the ride home.
We were going to head out to Rome, but I was just mentally exhausted from various things. Got to finally meet Graham which was cool. Him and his shiny ass forehead.
The country has some absurd architecture. The Castles in Prague make the billion dollar Las Vegas buildings look like dumps. Amazing what people could build back then. Also I finally got to meet face to face with a bunch of AM’s I’ve been working with for quite a long time. Aside from Danielle from Chipleader thinking I was the devil prior to meeting in person, it was good fun. Probably not a good idea to make your AM’s cry. All the affiliate managers I got to meet were cool as hell though.
I do have to say, the whole going to the gambling conference lectures are basically a complete waste of time. Unless you’re absolutely clueless, they might be useful. Like everybody has always said about the conferences its just about hanging out and actually meeting people like the real world. Since I didn’t really get anything accomplished, I will be going to Budapest in a couple months for the next one. This time I “plan” on actually setting up meetings. Fuck it, why even bother saying it when it’s not going to happen.
Aside from the Club World Casino dinner, the food was atrocious in the Czech. Everything had chunks of cheese on it or was raw meat. Some weird shit. And no Czechs, a club sandwich is not eggs with random meat on a slice of bread.
Um, what else. The Czech women are beautiful, period. Antonio Esfandiari is a dousche (he was at the gym looking like a goofy Will Ferrell character) , and Miss Playboy 2006 of July, Sara Underwood, didn’t even look attractive compared to the Czech girls, unless you like the anorexic, fake type.

This month I wanted to go all out with boxing. I decided to train really hard and stopped lifting weights because it interferes with surfing and boxing. It’s amazing, after three weeks of intense training I look like a stripped turkey after thanksgiving. Boxing in a 110+ degree metal warehouse will do that. Today me and this Mexican had a really good sparring session with both of us getting some heavy shots in. I can’t explain why, but Boxing is just one of those great sports to actually do. When you accomplish what you train for in the ring, its just very satisfying.
Anyways, I’m heading up to play Whistling Straits in Wisconsin over July 4th with my brother and sister. Don’t think I’m going to make it to the World Series of Poker in Vegas this year, but might stop by for a day or two. Probably should decide pretty soon…

I always have good intentions of hitting a conference, but I’m starting to think I never will and don’t really want to. I just hate traveling.
My boys have taken up boxing (along with the 50 other sports they do) We invested in a lot of equipment, and all I know is that just hitting the bags is exhausting and the few sparring sessions we have been through are beyond tough. But I like the training aspect and actually learning how to throw a proper punch. The biggest eye opener is the footwork involved in all of it.

Yea footwork and slipping are tough but anyone can throw a punch, so that’s pretty much where boxing lies. I can’t do either, so I basically just get my head beat in most sparring sessions. At least your kids get to start young!

I love Czech women, they are all so beautiful but my all time favorite is Petra Cubonova. She is just stunningly beautiful. If you look at pictures I am sure you will agree
