Harrahs and the World Series of Poker have issued a press release stating what poker pros and celebrities will announce at the WSOP in 2006
In the long list of celebrity and poker pros to announce this years’ final table play will be prior champs, Hollywood celebrities, and past WSOP champions. The WSOP has gotten together the most exciting team of announcers they could find combined with mixing personalities. It looks to be a needed change to add some flavor to the tournament this year.
Diana Donifrio, the Payouts Manager for the WSOP, came up with the ideas to match together celebrities and poker pros to announce the events at the World Series. Diana pitched her idea to other directors of the WSOP and they were thrilled with the idea. Players and directors believe the cheerful and experienced announcers will add a different feel to this years’ WSOP which may have been getting stale.
Poker Gods like Doyle Brunson will be teaming up with his son, Todd Brunson, for some commentatitng.
