The Prodigy Falls, Again

Strike 3, you’re out! Josh Field, aka JJ Prodigy at online poker sites, has mussed up an incredibly third time by getting caught out for holding multiple accounts.
The latest word doing the rounds is that this integrity challenged young poker player was banned from playing at Cake Poker due to his multi accounting activities.
It seems that JJ Prodigy is not willing or able to learn from his mistakes. His dishonesty first came to light after he confessed on the public poker forum, twoplustwo.com that he had been playing online since he was barely 15.
Many may have forgiven this player for his actions, especially considering the lure of the game and the fact that there is no denying that this is one extremely talented player we’re dealing with. Nevertheless, the timing of Field’s apology seemed too close for comfort to the legal age that he was reaching in order to play at live tournaments – and his sincerity was doubted.
PartyPoker and PokerStars decided that JJProdigy wasn’t the type of player they wanted around and subsequently banned him for holding multiple accounts, an act that left him unable to play at certain live events such as the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure tournament.
You’d think that JJProdigy would learn from his mistakes, and perhaps focus on using his incredible talent to move ahead instead. However, less than a year later, he was back on the bench for cheating online.
JJProdigy issued (another) heartfelt apology, wailing on the PocketFives forum: “It is unfair how highly I am looked upon as a poker player… No one should ever get some of the praises I get… I will assure you that I will do everything in my power to amend my past, and more on to a more ethical, aware and self understanding future.”
Yeah right.
In February this year, Cake Poker threw him out and banned him from coming back.
It’s a reasonable bet that nobody will be willing to forgive a third time round, and even those who wanted to give JJ Prodigy a chance in the past are sure to finally realize this player for who he really is.
