UFC Event, Speeding Ticket, and Some Gambling

Written by Roger S | Monday, February 9th, 2009

I haven’t checked my public records yet but I think I’m in jeapordy of getting my license suspended for 30 days for having too many points on my record.

The ticket was received heading back from Tampa where we watched UFC fight night 17 at the Sundome. The fights were actually really awesome. Almost all of them either ended up in a KO or a tapout. Something called “Gasporilla” was going on so the place was packed. I guess it’s a Tampa version of Mardi Gra.

Here’s a couple pics of us at the UFC event.

Me, Mike and Pat.

Me with Pat and UFC fighter Matt Arroyo.

It’s not complete without a pic of a UFC girl right?

Lol, its BookerT, from Old Skool WWF

There was also a fight by the beer stand that we didn’t get to see. That probably would have been fun to get on film too, lol.

Pat is the man behind my MMA site I purchased about a year ago. He does a sick ass job with all the predictions and stuff (except for UFC 94, lol). But since we bought the site he’s basically increased the revenue by over 500%. Pat, you’re a pimp.

After the event we headed over to the Hardrock Casino. The casino is pretty much shiat. They only have blackjack and slots and some other tables games that nobody was playing. For some reason I thought they had Roulette so I brought $20k for my revenge after losing in Atlantis.

Instead we all played some blackjack. I have no clue how to play Blackjack so just put $3K down after a few hands and asked Mike what I should do. I won then proceeded to lose, lol. Blackjack is too boring for me. My sister was there too and I gave her a couple hundred and she won a little bit and seemed to enjoy it. Also met up with a friend from back in elementary school, Tina.

Back to the speeding ticket. This is like the 7th or 8th ticket I’ve gotten in the past 6 months (lost count). The funny thing is, not one has been in the Ferrari! I can go 170 in it and haul ass around town and nothing, yet I get all the tickets in the Jeep. Go figure!

Man I’m jelous, UFC live with some decent seats would be unreal to go to.

It was not a big show like the normal UFC monthly events but still really fun to watch in person. Sooo much better than watching boxing. Tickets really aren’t that bad…

Live UFC fights are so bad ass. I was at UFC88 when Liddell got KTFO. Two questions…

1.) Were you in the 360?
2.) How fast were you going?

Looks like a sausage fest. Hopefully you guys hit a strip club afterward. Dude, if you need to slow down and change your driving habits a bit, I will openly pledge to trade you my wife’s mini-van for your Ferrari.

I only offer this trade as gesture of good will and to look our for your safety. And since you already own a jeep, the Chrysler Town & Country will be a pleasurable and easy transition for you.

[...] I think it’s 4th on the list. Chicks dig dudes in minivans with child seats, it shows confidence. UFC Event, Speeding Ticket, and Some Gambling __________________ ?Innovation distinguishes between a leader and a follower.? Steve Jobs To [...]

Yeah it was one of those events that are on cable. I watched some of it and it was pretty good. Have you ever been to any payperview events? If there is a GSP and BJ rematch that would be an amazing event to go to.

Jeremy- Is the mini van supercharged? :)

Kevin- I haven’t personally been to a ppv event. Pat and Mike go to them but this was my first. I’m looking forward to one tho! GSP is just sick, I heard he got fined for his trainer putting vaseline on his back so BJ couldn’t get a hold of him on the ground? (that sounds so gay btw)

John – Nope, not in the 360. Haven’t even gotten a ticket in that yet, lol. But yea I was going 93 in a 70. The cop was going to let me off, but I think he saw my driving record and said no more breaks for this dude, lol.

Btw, is Chuck ever going to fight again, or is he pretty much done?
