Will Isildur1 Finally Be Revealing His Identity?
Written by Renee K | Friday, April 2nd, 2010
He has become the biggest mysteries in the world of poker this year. The anonymous player, known only by his handle name Isildur1, has won literally millions off some of the world’s best players, including Patrik Antonius and Tom Dwan. There has been incredible interest in who this player really is, with speculations that he is actually the player, Viktor Blom.
We might not need to guess anymore, however, if what Party Poker says is true. The online poker site, which runs the hugely popular PartyPoker Big Game live, televised event, announced that it had convinced Isildur1 to make his first public appearance in London during the tournament between April 11th and 13th.
“It was important to me that Isildur1 made his first major TV appearance on one of our shows,” said the Managing Director of Matchroom Sport, Eddie Hearn. “Tony [G] and I have worked hard to ensure this happened and we are delighted to welcome him to the PartyPoker Big Game IV. Quite simply, this will be the most hotly anticipated poker show of all time.”
From this statement, we don’t actually know if Isildur1 will be revealing his true identity or whether he will be appearing in some type of disguise, just to add even more to the mystery. However, it seems that if PartyPoker is going to all this trouble to announce his participation in the show and to get him to take part, it would seem rather silly to have him appear with a mask or whatever else he’d need to continue to keep his identity a secret.
What is sure is that PartyPoker Big Game will be one of the most watched shows this year as everyone waits to see who the mystery man really is.
