My Opinion of the WSOP Bonus
It’s a pretty standard bonus and I’m actually pretty suprised they didn’t incorporate more World Series of Poker packages or free hotel stay as bonuses and promotions. I expect this to change.
As for the actual bonus I was again slightly disappointed that they would not allow players who have played at any Cassava skin eligibility of the bonus. This seems completely unfair to anyone who’s played at Pacific Poker, Luckyace Poker etc. They are completely seperate brands and players shouldn’t be penalized and not allowed the WSOP bonus. Also, Cassava brands usually give the bonus upfront, but this is not the case for WSOP online poker.
WSOP and Rakeback
Rakeback is NOT an option at the WSOP online poker website. Instead of Rakeback, the WSOP is offer a “Status and Rewards” system. This offering is weekly and monthly freerolls up to $25,000. The more you play, the more your status moves up from Silver, Bronze, Gold, Platinum then to VIP. As the website grows they have plans to expand the rewards system. As it is right now, it’s not all that “rewarding” if you ask me.

About WSOP Online Poker
Run by Harrah’s is the World Series of Poker (WSOP) poker site. It is the same software platform that you see on Pacific Poker (Cassava). At first it will be strictly for those overseas, including the United Kindom and Europe being the primary markets.
Many believe this new partnership with 888’s software “dragonfish” is the beginning to the entering of the US online poker market. While this is all speculation, things seem to be falling right in place and Harrah’s and 888 will both be 1st in line to grab a huge part of the US market if and when it becomes legal to gamble online in the US.
It should also be noted that Dragonfish will handle all of the financial transactions so no outsourcing will be needed. There will be streamless depositing and withdrawing for US players if the time comes.
As of now, the WSOP poker site will focus on European markets as the US market is still under speculation of legalizing their online gaming.
When Will The WSOP Poker Site Come to the US?
This question really can not be answered. There are a few bills out there looking to legalize online gambling. Two major bills are the Menendez Bill and the Barney Frank bills. Both look to legalize internet poker and make games like the WSOP poker site available to those in the United States. This would be a huge step forward to safe online gambling in the US.
